Wikis abound
I have been knocking myself out trying to find a wiki that is easy to use, easy to customise. The search may get easier with wikimatrix. The same people also do a podcatcher comparision and blog comparisions. They are the regular choice magazine of web tools!

I've found even the fragile & frightened can manage these - the toolbar is really just word with 3 other features. Easy to embed video, audio, calendars,polls etc, upload files and add links. Basically functional but not pretty.Check out our learning community sites...

I have started an account on wikispaces, but didn't find the asthetics very appealing. However i am sure of i can figure out how to customise it, I will be laughing!
